In a village of Duddhi Kotwali area in Sonbhadra, people have been shocked by the death of a girl three days before her marriage. Four days before the marriage, suddenly the girl’s health deteriorated and she died during treatment the next day. The girl was to be married on May 1. This sudden incident has created chaos in the family. The relatives who were preparing to decorate the daughter’s doli were seen in distress when her bier was lifted.

The marriage of Pooja (20), daughter of Lal Bahadur, resident of Dhanaura village, was fixed with a youth resident of Parni village of Myorpur police station area. The wedding procession was to come on May 1. Both the families were engaged in the preparations for the wedding. Meanwhile, on Thursday evening suddenly Pooja’s health deteriorated. The relatives took him to the local hospital on the complaint of vertigo and severe ear pain. When there was no improvement in the condition even after treatment, he was taken to the district hospital. He died there on Friday. There was chaos as soon as the dead body reached the village. Kabutari Devi, grandmother of the deceased Pooja, told that the ceremony of turmeric-mandap was to be held on Saturday. Everyone was busy preparing for it. All the things were being brought inside the house to be given to the girl. Due to the sudden death of Pooja, we are not able to understand what to do now.
